ARC REVIEW Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti

The Blood Brothers' series is a spinoff of Zanetti's Sin Brothers I don't think it is necessary to read the previous series but it might help with a little bit of the character background and history of the overall situation (helpful but not necessary). What I liked about this one was how it fell right in line with the Sin Brothers, lots of mystery and dangerous situations. I loved the brothers Ryker, Heath, and Denver, all very different but with a bond stronger than blood. Zara was okay she is a strong female lead and stubborn, but stubborn to the point that she would do something despite knowing the consequences and that the action is not really necessary. She's ornery and it got annoying. I also didn't like that Ryker used sex to manipulate Zara; I know she didn't mind it turned her on but personally not my thing. There was a lot of stuff going on at the same time, everything happened for a reason and kept the story going and two parts of it being carried over into the next book, but Zara and Ryker's story was over at about 80% of the way through.

Zara is a paralegal who has been seeing Ryker on and off since he worked a job for the law firm she works for. Ryker is a PI with his brothers forming the Lost Bastards Investigative Agency. Ryker knew he shouldn't have gotten attached to Zara with his past and what lies in the future but he couldn't just let go. Zara didn't want to but she fell in love with Ryker, it was only suppose to be casual. Ryker came back this last time make it something more but being her ornery self and Ryker being his bossy self sparks fly and sex happens. Along with the trouble that Zara finds herself into the Lost Bastards are trying to track down a serial killer and find out the truth of their past when a young preteen boy hacks into their system and demands they help him find a Dr. Isobel Madison. However Ryker, Heath, and Denver knew her by a different name but the same woman from their past. Ryker is torn between helping Zara, finding a serial killer and setting a trap for the one person who could give them all the answers they have been looking for.

We do see an appearance from the Sin Brothers which made me happy. Overall, it was a good read and I really am looking forward to what's going to happen next.
